Instructions |
1.
Remove lid from tin.
2. Paint each side of tin with gesso. Let each side air dry or use a
heat gun to speed the drying time, but remember to let the tin cool
before touching if using a heat gun, as the tin may be hot.
3. Paint the inside and back of the tin sky blue, letting each side dry
sufficiently before starting the next.
4. Paint the top, bottom and two sides lime green. Air dry or use a heat
gun to speed the drying process.
5. Once all sides have been painted and are dry, apply your glue of
choice to the inside edges of the tin.
6. Adhere a vintage cigar strip all the way around the inside edge.
7. Cut out image from La Belle Époque collage sheet and glue it down
centered and flush with the bottom of the tin, to the inside section of
the tin.
8. Cut out an arch from the gold archways, so that all you have is a ¼
inch wide arch.
9. Glue the arch to the inside section of the tin so that it surrounds
the image.
10. Cut out the word “Nicki” from the vintage cigar strip and place at
the bottom of the image, flush with the bottom of the tin.
11. Place five light blue acrylic faceted gems above the head of the
woman in the image and one light blue acrylic faceted gem in the center
of the arch.
12. Attach one small fairy wand to the left side of the image and one to
the right side of the image, but cut the wand on the right about ¼ inch
shorter than the one on the left, so that it looks like the wand on the
right is behind the word “Nicki”.

Please feel free to print
these instructions for easy reference. (Use Landscape Layout when printing this page).
A neat idea
for the smaller tins is to punch two holes in the top of the tin
with a metal awl, place a jump ring through the holes, hang it from
a ball chain necklace and you have an altered tin necklace!
