1. First, I set aside 12 Paper Slide Mounts
and my favorite images from the Seaside Cuties collage sheet.
2. Next, I applied the inks from the
Brilliance ink pads to the Paper Slide Mounts.
I then sponged the Lumiere paints
over that, sometimes sponging off… just for variation.
3. I used the
lightening black inkpad to stamp the text on the Paper Slide Mounts, also
in a random fashion.
4. While the Paper Slide Mounts were drying,
I cut the Seaside Cuties collage sheet images to fit and placed them
between the mounts. These Paper Slide Mounts have an adhesive already in
place. Just tack down lightly with an iron.
5. Now for the canvas
to put them on! I lightly sanded the surface, then directly and randomly
applied the inks from the Brilliance ink pads.
6. I then sponged on Diamond Glaze and placed
the white, handmade torn paper on top of that and sponged Diamond Glaze on
top of the whole thing. This paper becomes transparent when you do this!
It creates a beautiful sea foam effect.
7. I placed the Paper Slide Mounts in a
haphazard way, then used PVA glue to adhere them to the canvas.
8. For the finishing
touches, I drilled two holes at the
top corners and strung a generous length of Hand Dyed Ribbon - Caribbean
Ocean for a hanger.
9. I spelled out "SEASIDE DIVAS" with letters
from a book and glued them into place.
10. I applied Diamond Glaze in a wave-like
pattern at the bottom of the canvas and sprinkled on silver micro beads.
11. I topped the whole piece off with cool
Ocean Charms! TA-DAH! Here's to the beach!
