Inspired by Nenufar Blanco's Button
Faeries, I had fun creating these Button Dolls. They are very easy to
make and addictive as you can see. Have fun creating your own Button
Dollz. Use them as embellishments in your mixed-media art projects. Or
add a hanger on the back and send it to a friend! |

General Supplies and Tools for All Button

Basic instructions for button body: |
|
Thread buttons and beads onto 2 lengths
of wire leaving enough wire on either ends for antlers and/or
spirals (if desired), securing ends where needed. Trim wire if
necessary.
Note: At least the top button is glued behind upper doll part with
Aleene's tacky glue and not visible from front.

Instructions: |
|
Place bottle cap onto cutting mat and
poke in 5 holes using an awl. Cut out image and glue into bottle
cap. Paint edge of bottle cap with yellow and pink acrylics. Attach
bead danglies. Create button body and form antlers, trim off wire.
Glue behind bottle cap. Tie bow around tale using ribbon. Glue Small
Velvet Leaves behind bottle cap. Add glitter into edge of bottle cap
and add 3-d glue. Let dry over night.

acrylics, let dry. Cut out image from Fabulous Flappers collage sheet
and glue into Round Brass Saucer Frame. Create button body and glue
behind frame. Attach Turquoise Wings and Turquoise Metal Roses.

sheet and glue onto background from ATC inspirations collage sheet.
Glue onto cardstock and cut out circle. Paint edge with black
acrylics. Make dots with white acrylics using end of toothpick.
Create button body and form antlers adding beads and forming
spirals, trim off wire. Glue behind top cardstock. Glue on Black
Swan wings.

cardstock. Glue on ribbon.

Cut off top and tail from Sirens O' The
Sea collage sheet. Glue top onto cardstock, cut out. Attach small
Red Swan wings. Cut out tail and layer on pieces from Red Small
Renaissance border to create scales. Lay onto cardstock and trace
out shape. Cut out a bit smaller. Poke 3 holes into cardstock using
awl. Create button body and thread end through holes in tail
cardstock and tie on back. Glue on scaled tail. Glue behind Mermaid
top.

front.
