1. Cut out images. Use any size and shape
of image. You can also use scraps of any patterned papers you have or
create your own papers with paint, ink, rubber stamps, etc.
2. Cover your paper or cardstock with embossing film and peel off the
backing. You can also run your paper through a Xyron machine loaded with
a permanent glue cartridge. Whichever you use, keep the backing paper.
3. Stick images on paper, leaving small spaces between
each one. Once everything is in place, cover with the backing
paper and press everything down well.
4. Pour embossing powder over the sheet. You can use
just one color, or multiple colors depending on the effect you want to
achieve. The teapot uses a Cloisonné powder. Tap off the excess.
5. Use a heat gun to melt the embossing powder.
6. Once cool, cut the mosaic paper into a teapot
shape. Place on a patterned background, reminiscent of wallpaper, and
use a cigar band to give the illusion of a table or shelf. |
