Tag Collage
by Helga Strauss
Make beautiful tags in just a few simple steps! This class was inspired by the lovely tag that Gena Boone Curtis made for me.

1: Prepare your tag with a coat or two of white gesso.

2: I love using water color crayons on top of gesso- makes the textured background pop and who doesn't like to scribble?

3: Blend your colors with a bit of water and play till you have it just the way you like it.

4: After your background is dry, time to add some images and papers to pull it all together. For this tag, I used our beautiful turquoise decorative papers - just tear off some strips and apply with Tacky Glue. Next I added one of my favorite kitty images from our Chixies Cute Cat Post - very easy- just peel and stick!

5: I decided to use one more strip of paper to bring out some of the green in the background, so I chose our new Lily of the Valley sheet and glued on a strip of that to the bottom of the tag. Now it's time for some ribbon to match. Our rayon ribbons are awesome for stamping on, so I added a little message to my tag - smile!

6: When my ribbon was tied on, I couldn't resist adding a couple more embellishments so I added our turquoise mini roses and a cute kitty charm using our animal beads combined with some fabulous mini dice! There you have it! Go forth and make fun tags! : )
