Crackle Inchie Earrings
by Helga Strauss
These earrings are super fun and easy to make!
Supplies needed:
Inchie Photo Charms
Nature Silhouettes transparency
Ranger Crackle Paint - Picket Fence
Charcoal
Cardboard
Scissors
Crafter's Pick Ultimate glue
Beads
Earring wires
Jump rings
Head pins

Cut a piece of thin cardboard to 1" square size. A cereal or tea box would be perfect for this. Or if you have a 1" square punch, even better!

Shake Ranger Crackle Paint and blob onto cardboard.

When dry, rub charcoal into the cracks of paint. This idea is from the talented Kathy Cameron. This way, you'll really show off the beautiful cracks in the paint.

Inca stopped by a quick snuggle.

Next, cut out 2 inchies from the Nature Silhouette transparency. There are lots of images on this sheet that are 1" square making this part super easy.
Then put a thin layer of Crafter's Pick Ulimate glue on the backs of the transparencies. Or feel free to try any glue that you have at home...it just needs to dry clear and give a nice, strong bond. Diamond Glaze and Ranger Glossy Accents would probably work well for this too.

Adhere transparencies to your crackle inchies. Push them together tightly to squeeze out any air bubbles. It's handy to have a paper towel on hand to wipe away any excess glue.

When dry, add a thin layer of Crafter's Pick Ultimate glue to the Inchie Photo Charms.

And then add your inchies. Be sure to press down thoroughly across the entire piece. And wipe away excess glue with a slightly damp paper towel.

Now to add a bit of bling. On the left is the finished earring and on the right is the supplies I used to make it. I used 2 jump rings so that the earrings would lay the correct way when wearing them.

I used a long headpin to wrap this bead...I kept wrapping it around to turn it into a little "acorn." I thought it would look cute with the tree silhouettes.

Ta da! Earrings are complete, Yay!

Here I am wearing the earrings. Cute, eh? I just love them!
