Shrine Image & Embellishment Ideas
Ok, so now that you have finished your backgrounds, it's time to play with images to create your focal point. Cut and paste- my favorite!
Look at this sumptuous array of our new goodies all arted up- wow! Follow along and I will show you how we did it!

Personal photos- we all have them. But what to do with them all? Try this: Hey, it's Bruno on a shrine- so very cute! Helga cut out his image from a photo and glued it down with Uhu. Then because she loves Bruno so much, she added a heart above his head with a sharpie marker. Aw!

ARTchix collage sheets- just the thing! Helga created this amazing sheet of images for you to use with your new shrines - so handy! All of the images fit either the small, medium or large shrines. Cut around the image and glue it on- super easy. Your kids will love to do this too!

ARTchix has awesome Paper Doll sheets! I love paper dolls! Of course I had to put our new Mona paper doll onto a shrine. You can also attach the legs with brads and hang it up- looks very pretty. Mona also has one of our new Eco Embellishment Birds on her shoulder for company.

Display your favorite artwork! Helga designed these shrines especially for holding your favorite inchies, twinchies or ATC's. Simply glue them on to your background, or, use a decorative paperclip or glue dot so you can switch them up. The perfect gift for someone you love :)

Brand new product- Eco Embellishments. These are the cats meow! Here is another clever idea from the ARTchix Studio think tank: Our new line of Eco Embellishments were designed to fit all three sizes of shrines perfectly! Made from the same 100% recycled paper, these little gems have so many uses. For these shrines I used birds and trees. Using Gesso and a black sharpie marker, I made contrasting silhouette to add to this simple, elegant shrine.

Keep your felt pens handy! Don't forget to decorate the front and back of your new creation. Carrying on with my black and white contrast theme, I colored two of these funky trees black using my sharpie marker and then added some white dots with a gel pen. A little Uhu glue stick and the front of my shrine is finished!
The new shrines are looking good, so it's embellishment time! Use your imagination and the sky is the limit. Here are few things Helga and I tried:

Wonderful, wonderful German scrap! One of our favorite embellishments here at ARTchix is German scrap! It comes in so many colors and patterns that it's easy to find just the right one to add the finishing touches to your wonderful shrine.

Remember I said to keep your markers handy? Here is why: I like to keep things simple so I used my trusty markers and gel pens to touch up these new little gears. Did someone say Steam punk?

New from ARTchix- Gothic Windows! Another fun new product we have available are these cool Gothic Windows! Again, in three handy sizes to fit right in with your eco shape creation. I added some acrylic paint to mine and framed my images so they really pop. Yes, I like bling too, so using self adhesive colorful rhinestones is just the ticket. Look, it even made Mona smile :)

ARTchix word sheets- say no more! Most of the time I like my shrine to convey a message. I love using a variety of images and embellishments- combo that with some words from our Word Collection, and your shrine says it all!

Art bits from ARTchix- have you tried them yet? Helga is the queen of finding new and innovative ways to use up scraps and recycled bits. Drink umbrellas are perfect as wings for her beautiful shrine. Sew on a few shiny beads or glue on some metallic roses and presto- you have a real eye catcher!

Glitter glue- Helga loves her glitter glue! Bling! Does your shrine need some bling? Our Eco Embellishments are just dying to be altered by adding glitter glue to them so you can have Mona dressed up and looking glam.

Well, your shrine is now complete! Did you have fun? Helga and I sure did, and now we have this amazing collection of artwork that we can use in so many different ways: Gift cards, tags, holders for other pieces of inspirational artwork, frames for pics of our loved ones or just something pretty to have sitting on our desks to remind us that there is always time to make art happen!
Why don't you come play too? Try our new shrines and if you come up with something easy and fun, let us know- we LOVE to hear from you!
