think I have almost every one and love the quality of ink & paper they
are printed on. And the images are so diverse!!! If ARTchix doesn't have
it, then I probably don't need it!
Tell us about your pet: Gingersnap (GiGi) is a tortie tabby cat
that I adopted from the Humane Society in June. She is just now one year
old and is so frisky...hence the name...Ginger-SNAP! She has the loudest
purr that I have ever heard and I love how she meets me at the door
after a long day at work. She follows me around like a puppy and every
morning she has her favorite toy outside the bedroom door so we can have
"play time". She is precious and I truly love everything about her! |

Tell us about your pet: Troi is my wonderful greyhound baby (5 years
old), who has a mind of her own and unlike most greyhounds, barks to let
us know when she's not happy. She has a huge beanbag all to herself, and
spends the night dressed in a greyhound pajama, and gets tucked in with
a flurry rug and her fluffy toys, Fluffy and Mr. Giraffe. Rueben is my
all kinds of everything boy and is 4 years old. He's Troi's little slave
but has one up on her at night as he sleeps in our bedroom (on the bed
when John's not here!) Brush and Sweep are my 2 elderly gentlemen cats
(now both 15 and brothers). They love to sleep, and then sleep some more
and then maybe go for another nap! Can't wait to see the postage with
everyone else's babies too! |

Supply: I love all things ARTchix, of course, as well as Mod Podge
(or decoupage paste- if you need to be generic). It glues, it seals, it
unifies, it helps camouflage- I'm always Mod Podge-ing stuff together-
especially book pages and ATCs!
Favorite
ARTchix item: Transparencies are
the greatest- you can add another layer and get depth without hiding
pretty papers and other artwork. They may it look like you worked really
hard! I usually Mod Podge them on!
Tell us about your pet: Currently we have Larry and Lester, 3, twin
brother Tiger cats. When Larry was a kitten, he would jump into midair
off the coffee table to try to catch the ceiling fan! My muse for 18
years was Mookie Stacey Smith, a tuxedoed princess of a long-haired cat,
who never made a sound when she pitter-patted down the halls quite
elegantly. |

kitties. They are 6, 2, and 6 months old. Pixie and Mimi are Holland Lop
bunnies. Sadly, Pixie is with the angel-bunnies, and Mimi is almost 8!
My favorite thing about my pets is that I learn so much from them and I
get so much joy out of the little things they do that are so endearing.
I love to see them happy and content. |

knock on the door when she wanted me to come out and play. She would
jump into the back of my station wagon, and go with me to out door craft
shows. I would set up a card table, and she would sit under it for
shade. She sat and watched me as I spun her wool on one of my spinning
wheels. She was a joy. |

ARTchix item: Do I have to name just one? Okay, I guess that
would be the Bingo collage sheet--I seem to use
this a lot.
Tell us about your pet: The picture of the pet in my ATC was not
actually mine, although I used to have two ferrets (Artie and Drizzit),
who have since passed away. I
couldn't find a good picture of my ferrets, so I chose to use this one
of someone else's pet, which I thought was adorable. I now have two
kitties (Dakota and Zippy--brothers), who are both all black (Dakota has
long hair and Zippy has short hair) and have two totally different
personalities. My favorite thing about Dakota is his funny little
attitude. When he doesn't get his way, he'll sit with his back towards
us. He also 'talks back' to us when we tell him, "No". So silly! My
favorite thing about Zippy is his sweetness--he never gets in trouble
because he gets his feelings hurt. Zippy is also our "special needs"
kitty, as he is diabetic and requires two shots per day. |

ARTchix item: Oh, too many to list, but I love the
Chixies Hats, Wings,
and the gold angel wings, etc.
Tell us about your pet: For the
“My Precious Pet” ATC theme, I was inspired by “Mr. Blue” our 1 year old
Chocolate Point Siamese cat captured in a quiet moment in my mixed-media
collage art studio. Mr. Blue, named for the color of his eyes and the
song, does not have pure-bred papers, but he is as royal to me as any
King of Siam! Charming, regal and extremely loving; living the good life
here in our house and getting involved in collage art with me and Buffy
on a weekly basis.
In addition, his sister (but not related) is a Gray Tortie named Buffy,
The Siamese Slayer! Aptly named, she is half Mr. Blue’s size and can sit
on her haunches and box with him better than Rocky Balboa! She loves to
be everywhere I am, and you guessed it, on my work surface in my art
studio. The other pets in the contest are my two deceased sister cats
Twinkie and Taffy who await their owners to join them someday on the
Rainbow bridge. Twinkie was my beloved, trusted loyal friend and my life
has never been the same since she died in 2003. But you will see Twinkie
in more art pieces to come. Twinkie’s memorial website is:

Tell us about your pet: My precious pet...is JOSIE she is a "Treeing
Walker Coonhound" (yeah, she looks like a tall beagle)
We rescued her from a shelter because she was not a good hunting dog.
She is two years old and she has perfect posture and loves to sit in
kitchen chairs. She is afraid of most everything. The picture I used of
her on the ATC is one of the only ones we have of her because right
after I took the pictures she became deathly afraid of any and all
cameras. |
