Necklace by Karen Strauss |
My Mom is a very talented bead artist. She
was in town recently so I asked her to play with our new
DreamBox silver jewelry. She
made this gorgeous necklace by adding an image from our new
Mini
Delights collage sheet into our new
hand-shaped silver DreamBox and then making a wire and beaded
chain for it. I just love it!
You can find
free instructions
for this necklace (and a few more) on our website. These would make such
awesome gifts!

Dear Art Friend,
Hope all is well and happy in your world. Here in ARTchix-land, life is
filled with holiday planning!
I can’t believe that Christmas is just around the corner. Where did this
year go?! I recently started working on my Christmas list: who we will
be giving gifts to and ideas for each person. Fun and overwhelming at
the same time!
I figured you’re probably in a similar boat right now, so I’m going to
share some fun holiday ideas with you! I’ve included some quick,
creative gift wrapping ideas. And I’ve listed some great gifts you can
make for your loved ones this season (most are really quick and easy).
In addition, you’ll find some cool holiday ornaments for inspiration.
And, there’s a list of some of my favorite Christmas ARTchix products.
Wishing you a wonderful, art-filled holiday season,
Helga

| Fun
Gift Wrap Ideas |
I love wrapping gifts! You
can make a simple gift really special by
wrapping it creatively. You’ll find a few great examples below. Note
that each package includes a cool tag that can also be an ornament! |
 |
|
 |
Sheet Music +
Sealing Wax + Gameboard Tag
I wrapped this package in a page of
vintage sheet music. Then I
tied on a piece of twine and dripped sealing wax over it. I love the
old world look to this. I made a tag using an old game board
(similar to Bingo) by
punching holes at the top and stringing
Mexican paper flowers
through as a hanger. |
|
Map +
ATC Tag
Turn your ATCs into festive tags/ ornaments by punching holes and
adding sparkling pipe cleaners! |
|

Brown
Paper + Slide Tag
You can alter inexpensive brown paper by adding stars, images, etc.
Make an unique tag with
plastic slides! |
|
Newspaper + Slide Mailer Tag
Even newspaper can look festive if you add our
German Paper Flowers! I circled each one with colored
pencil to add to the fun. The tag is an altered
slide mailer with the letter
“J.” Looks cool! |
|

|
|
Vintage Paper +
Bamboo Tile Tag
This is an old ledger page but really any kind of vintage paper
would look awesome as giftwrap. The stunning tag is one of our
Bamboo Tiles with an image
from the
Petite Parade II collage sheet
adhered to it.

I received these gorgeous note cards from Alwen Rambo. She purchased
a blank set of
note cards with matching envelopes and glued on her
beautiful butterfly collages. We’re now pleased to offer
a collage sheet with these images so you can easily make these too! |

| Great
Jewelry Gifts! |
I love
giving handmade jewelry as gifts. They’re wonderful, small tokens of
affection. Every time the lucky recipient puts on your handmade
piece, they will think of you. So nice! All of the pieces below are
quick and super easy to make so even if you wait until the last
second to make your gifts, you’ll still be able to spoil your loved
ones with
gorgeous pieces in minutes. |

On the top, you’ll find the completed
necklace. Above, you’ll find the other image options for this
necklace...they all tuck into the frame and can be changed as often
as desired. How fun! |
|
 |
Ever Changing
Necklace
This is an awesome
necklace! The top of our
Brass Flip Top Frame flips
open so you can change it anytime. I adhered 4 stickers from our
Fairy Faux Post to matt board and added a
transparency for a bit of protection & beauty. |

Favorite Products: Christmas |
| What a
magical time of year! It’s so much fun to make special cards and
gifts for our loved ones to let them know how much they mean to us. |

1)
Christmas Wishes ARTchix Cards
I feel guilty if I don’t give handmade Christmas cards. And every
year, I always wait until the last minute and then freak out because
I don’t have my Christmas cards made. So, this year I’m going to
make really simple, easy cards. I’m going to glue a bit of
vintage paper to a blank
card and then add one of these beautiful ARTchix cards. Super easy,
handmade and
gorgeous! |
|
2)
Lil’ Christmas Collage Sheet
When I’m making Christmas tags and goodies, I always use images from
this sheet! It’s a must have! |
|

Red German Paper Flowers
These flowers look like poinsettias so I like to glue them
everywhere! Even on gift wrap (see above)! |
|
4)
Winged DreamBox
Let a loved one know you’re their angel this year by arting up one
of these beautiful DreamBoxes. See Jackie’s gorgeous one above! |
