Hi! I'm Helga the ARTchick! I'm a mixed media artist and I love to create, paint, collage and make special gifts for my loved ones. The act of creating brightens me up and makes me a super happy chick!

In my past, I co-published a magazine called ARTitude Zine which was all about celebrating creativity and mixed media explorations. Currently, I own ARTchix Studio (since 2001) and Vintage Fair Victoria (fun, fabulous, vintage events throughout the year in beautiful Victoria).

I love inspiring others to get creative. Art is so healing! Recently, I completed my certification as a Therapeutic Arts Practitioner. During the pandemic, I helped to take care of my Dad with Alzheimer's. I guided him in lots of art therapy activities. Wow, it was incredible to watch him come alive when we played with art supplies and music. I'd like to help more people come alive and bring joy and healing through creative play.
